OOB verification

Some resolves open a browser captcha step before the resolve completes. This is out-of-band (OOB) verification — you verify in the browser while the resolve waits.

When it happens

Depends on your plan, security settings, and recent activity. Triggers may include:

  • First resolve of a session
  • High-risk patterns flagged by security
  • Plan requirements for human verification

The SinisterClient UI or Discord flow may open a link like:

https://YOUR_SINISTER_HOST/verify?token=…

What to do

  1. Complete the hCaptcha on the page.
  2. Leave the tab open until the page says the resolve can continue (if instructed).
  3. Return to SinisterClient or Discord for the final result.

Closing the tab too early may cancel the pending resolve.

Page stuck

  • Refresh the page once.
  • Disable VPN if your tier blocks VPN resolves.
  • Run /end-session in Discord and start the resolve again.
  • Confirm system clock is correct (TLS and token expiry).

Per-user exemptions

OOB can be turned off for specific accounts or globally during maintenance. If you believe you should be exempt, contact support — do not assume exemption.
