OOB verification
Some resolves open a browser captcha step before the resolve completes. This is out-of-band (OOB) verification — you verify in the browser while the resolve waits.
When it happens
Depends on your plan, security settings, and recent activity. Triggers may include:
- First resolve of a session
- High-risk patterns flagged by security
- Plan requirements for human verification
The SinisterClient UI or Discord flow may open a link like:
https://YOUR_SINISTER_HOST/verify?token=…What to do
- Complete the hCaptcha on the page.
- Leave the tab open until the page says the resolve can continue (if instructed).
- Return to SinisterClient or Discord for the final result.
Closing the tab too early may cancel the pending resolve.
Page stuck
- Refresh the page once.
- Disable VPN if your tier blocks VPN resolves.
- Run
/end-sessionin Discord and start the resolve again. - Confirm system clock is correct (TLS and token expiry).
Per-user exemptions
OOB can be turned off for specific accounts or globally during maintenance. If you believe you should be exempt, contact support — do not assume exemption.
